2.2 m piece of CANADA GOOSE GLAM. $235 New unused wrap handwoven by me was cut to make a weighted blanket. The remaining fabric for sale is suitable to make a Sling, hem for Shortie, Blankets or use as fabric. Hand woven on one of my 3 floor looms with a 2/10 mercerized cotton warp and weft. The warp colors are yellows to greys grads with black and yellow accents, inspired by colors of the Canada Goose and her Goslings. The weft is a dark Canadian Lake, UKI soldier blue with a clasped weft gold ray of sunshine middle marker. The weave is a 2/2 twill weave structure with pattern change in the remaining tail. A row of "kisses" ...xxxxxx.... runs the length of the fabric, excluding the tail end. Length 2.2 m., still hemmed and labelled at tail end, width 72 cm., GSM 381.5. Clasped weft middle marker intact with room for a hem. Cut end is stay stitched. The hem at tail end could be carefully opened up for a further 5 cm. The fabric has been wet finished and washed once as are my baby wraps before sale.
This is a thin feeling wrap fabric but the finer, stronger 2/10 mercerized cotton threads make it nice and strong with a GSM of 381.5, while it remains soft and comfortable. The twill weave structure gives just a bit more stretch than you would find in a plain weave wrap/fabric. Easy Care Machine Wash and Dry!
There were 3 wraps only woven on the Canada Goose Glam Warp. Each is woven with a different weft color, each with a different twill pattern, making each of these 3 wraps One of a Kind! Baby Blanket / Lap Blanket Handwoven Wrap Scrap Passion Posey
GET PASSIONATE! Passion Posey Baby Blanket. $150. The top layer is handwoven in 100% UKI 2/10 mercerized cotton warp and weft in a mixed twill heart weave. This fabric is from the Posey Babywrap warp in warp colors of Magenta, Natural, Stone, Silver and Deep Lavender, with a weft of Passion Purple in a Heart Weave pattern. The bottom layer and binding is of machine woven 100% cotton in a pale yellow waffle weave. The binding is machine stitched at inside and outside edge. The centre panel is lightly machine quilted to stabilize the 2 layers. Measured laying flat with a hard measure this blanket is 44" x 32". Machine Wash and Dry.
The Posey warp was a custom designed warp for the Promise Posey Baby Wrap, inspired by the client's Wedding 'Posey". Promise Posey fabric was woven on the remaining warp after Promise Posey was completed. With a Passion Purple weft and a Heart Pattern the name just had to be Passion Posey! The fabric is unique and will not be repeated. This is the first of a possible 3 blankets and smaller items from this fabric. Baby Blanket Handwoven Wrap Scrap Passion Posey
Passion Posey Baby Blankets, two available, handwoven in 100% UKI 2/10 mercerized cotton warp and weft in a mixed twill heart weave.$90 each. This fabric is from the Posey Babywrap warp in warp colors of Magenta, Natural, Stone, Silver and Deep Lavender, with a weft of Passion Purple in a Heart Weave pattern. There are two blankets, light, unlined fabric, selvedge edges unhemmed, cut ends stabilized with a double zigzag stitching and then double fold hemmed. These make an excellent comfort blanket, receiving blanket, carseat blanket, take-along blanket, breastfeeding cover when you need to be discreet, lightweight summer blanket, even a small easy-to-take change pad or burp cloth. Also suitable as a small tablecloth. Machine Wash and Dry. Each blanket is 78 cm in length and full warp width of 73 cm.

Triangle Shawl Soft Luxurious Medium weight Variegated Green NS Hand Dyed Maseru mohair/wool blend
This variegated green triangular shawl in green tones was carefully finger woven using one continuous thread of yarn. $125 It is a soft, drapey shawl, medium weight, comfortable and warm. The weave is a plain weave with three rows of leno, one row is down the centre back from the neck to centre point when worn. The other two are on either side of that centre row, mid-way between it and each top point. The yarn is Hand dyed Maseru by Nova Scotia's Fleece Artist. 66% mohair, 24% wool, 10% nylon. Hand wash cool water and lay flat to dry. Dimensions are 205 cm x 160 cm x 160 cm, measured as are my wraps with soft tape in hand resting on a table.

Winter Scarf 100% Wool
Winter scarf Handwoven 100% Wool. $125. This scarf is woven with a warp in a tweedy pink, hand spun from hand washed, carded and dyed by me using local Nova Scotia 100% wool. It's weft is a variegated very loosely spun commercial yarn, 100% wool. The scarf is woven in a soft lace weave structure which gives the two fabric sides each a different look. Both ends are fringed with a 4.5 inch twisted fringe, making the scarf reversible. Length excluding fringes is 80 inches. Width is 7 inches.

Infinity Scarf Double Length Wool/Mohair
Winter scarf Handwoven Cotton/Mohair. $175. This scarf is woven with a 2/10 mercerized cotton warp and a local Nova Scotia Fleece Artist Hand dyed Mohair blend weft.. The scarf is woven in a mixed twill weave structure. The ends are sewn together with right selvedge meeting left selvedge to make an infinity scarf. The seam is finished on both sides and one end is fringed with a twisted fringe.The scarf can be worn other side out with the fringe hidden if desired. Length around is 70 inches. Width is 12.5 inches.

Autumn, Naturally! Handwoven cotton/wool Baby Wrap
AUTUMN, NATURALLY! is ready for sale. $575.
This wrap is woven with a 2/10 mercerized cotton warp and a hand dyed Jaagerspun 3/2/25 merino wool weft. The weft colors are Autumn colors space and randomly dyed. There is the same pattern change in each tail, but tails are not an identical length. Colors move through predominant green, predominant red, predominant yellow and back again to predominant green with a touch of speckled natty snowfall as is often seen in our Nova Scotia late fall. The wrap is 4.1 m long, 73.5 cm wide, weighs 1288 grams and has a GSM of 426.
The History:
This is the second wrap on this 2/10 mercerized cotton natty warp, woven following many hours of designing the twill/crackle weave, and much sampling. Samples were woven with 13 treadling patterns and many weft colors, fibres and yarn weights. See EH design crackle/twill...sample, sample album on this page for photos!
Following the sampling, wet finishing and all shrinkage calculations I wove Naturally Winter with January Thaw (see also album of that name ), still on that warp and with a weft of natural and hand dyed Jaagerspun 3/2/25 merino wool. This wrap was sent out as a tester and will soon also be for sale. Autumn, Naturally! is slightly thinner than Naturally Winter with January Thaw, woven with a bit lighter beat and fulled a bit less during the wet finish and is a longer wrap.
Naturally Winter with January Thaw
Naturally Winter with January Thaw is the first wrap woven with my new crackle/twill design. $480. This wrap has a 2/10 mercerized cotton warp and a Jaagerspun wool weft, both in natural. The wrap body was woven in Pattern #1, "tromp as writ" with a treadling pattern change at each tail. It has a woven middle marker of hand dyed wool, the "January Thaw" and a small tactile middle marker on one rail in the same yarn. It was finished late March 2017 and sent out as a tester early in April. It was returned in perfect condition late in August, washed and ironed (needlessly, I might add, as it was spotless!) and is offered for sale.

Laundry Instructions Laundering should be by hand to prevent shrinkage and felting. Hand wash in cool to warm water. May be machine spun dry in top load washer, gentle spin, if desired. Shake out and air dry laying flat or carefully hanging. Iron on low to medium with no or light steam as needed.
COWL SCARF Handwoven Monochrome
This Soft Elegant Monochrome COWL $150 is handwoven with a 2/10 mercerized cotton warp threaded in a crackle/twill pattern, and with a very fine natty silk weft, treadled with its own unique pattern, making it a one-of-a-kind. This crackle/twill pattern is my original design. It is a lightweight softly draping cowl with a generous circumference, sewn in a finished-both-sides seam to be reversible. The label is soft cotton, sewn flat near the seam.
This COWL measures 97 cm in circumference and 54 cm from shoulder to chin, woven lengthwise with the selvedges showing at shoulder and chin

SHAWL / SCARF / INFANT BABY WRAP
This soft elegant Monochrome SHAWL/SCARF $300, is handwoven with a 2/10 mercerized cotton warp threaded in a crackle/twill pattern, and with a very fine natty silk weft. The crackle/twill pattern is my original design and with this warp and weft combination it makes a lovely summer-weight shawl or scarf.
Size is a generous 290 cm long x 54 cm wide (measured soft tape in hand), plus a fine hand twisted fringe 17.5 cm long at each end. This is the longest shawl/scarf on this warp. The shawl is light and soft to touch but strong, somewhat stretchy and at 2.9 m would also make a good infant wrap, an easy take-along short-up for larger babies.

SHAWL SCARF with Hand Twisted Fringe
This soft elegant Monochrome SHAWL / SCARF $250 is handwoven with a 2/10 mercerized cotton warp threaded in my original design crackle/twill pattern, and with a very fine natty silk weft. This shawl is treadled "Trompe as Writ", treadled in the same complicated sequence as is the threading order. Size is a 198 cm long x 55 cm wide (measured soft tape in hand), plus a fine hand twisted fringe 9 cm long at each end. This shawl is light and soft to touch but strong, somewhat stretchy, a nice summer shawl or scarf.

SHAWL / SCARF Long Elegant Soft Monochrome , Hemmed
This soft elegant Monochrome shawl/scarf $225 is handwoven with a 2/10 mercerized cotton warp threaded in a crackle/twill pattern, and with a very fine natty silk weft. The crackle/twill pattern is my original design.
Size is a 210 cm long x 54 cm wide (measured soft tape in hand). The ends are hemmed with a narrow 1 cm machine sewn hem. The shawl is light and soft to touch but strong, somewhat stretchy.

KAMP KLOTH
HANDWOVEN KAMP KLOTH 15% of sales from this Keji Sunset inspired warp will be DONATED to The FRIENDS OF KEJI COOPERATING ASSOCIATION, to be designated for use with Species at Risk programs Handwoven in 100% cotton with warp colors of purples, blues, pinks and reds gently and randomly mixed across the warp; inspired by Kejimkujik National Park and Historic Site's beautiful sunsets. KAMP KLOTHS may be used as you see fit. They make wonderful, long lasting tea towels or hand towels, fit nicely on a camper dinette or picnic table as a double placemat, are great small picnic tablecloths for 1 or 2 people, may be used as bread cloths, food covers, large napkins, bibs, baby loveys, easy-take change cloths, burp cloths etc.
There are two different twill threadings across this warp, making two patterns with each treadling sequence. Ten Kamp Kloths and 3 cowls were woven on this warp, each with its own weft color and treadling order, creating 10 unique one of a kind items. This Kamp Kloth is woven with a white cotton weft. It measures, after ironing, 57 cm (22.5 in.) x 67 cm (26.5 in.), measured soft tape in hand.
Machine wash in cold to hot water, machine dry and iron if desired.
